A Very Dapper Girls Getaway....the FOOD!

Really it's what you've been waiting for right? For me to share with you all the yummy goodness of our trip? Well this trip will henceforth be known as the trip of NEW experiences!! We try and make these "work" trips once a  year, without husbands or kids in tow. We take tons of photos and try to experience things we haven't done before, all for the sake of education. Let's jump right in and talk about our dining selections!

Due to Food and Wine Festival we have opted to do things a bit differently and skip the dining plan. We are going to be trying a variety of table service, counter service and food booths and will be sharing A LOT, all for the sake of education. I know...we have it rough!!

EPCOT
We are planning almost 2 full days at EPCOT (and maybe more) to take advantage of Food and Wine Festival. My husband isn't much of a foodie, and while I may not be all the way, I'm learning. I'm excited to be able to try some things that we normally wouldn't.  Our first night however will be at Tutto Gusto. Tutto Gusto is the Wine Cellar located in Italy. Here we'll enjoy some wine, cheese, meats...all on small plates for sharing. I've been DYING to try this for a while but my husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy and this is not his thing.

Our 2nd EPCOT day will be spent sampling everything that the festival has to offer. To maximize our tummies and minimize our wallets we'll be buying the new Sampler Package:
  • Custom credential with 8 entitlement tabs for food or beverage items of your choice at over 30 Food & Wine Festival Global Marketplaces (some exclusions may apply and will be listed on the credential)
  • Priority seating at the 6:45 pm Eat to the Beat concert at America Gardens Theater on the day of package purchase
  • Limited-release 20th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival trading pin
All for just $59! I'm so excited to see how much we can sample!!

Magic Kingdom
We have two special days planned (Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and 1/2 our Dapper Day) here so we have a few things planned!! We are going to be trying Tony's Town Square for the first time. This location gets very  mixed reviews but as one of the only table service options IN the park, it's worth us trying.

We'll be heading to the campgrounds one morning to try out Trails End and we also have some time planned at the Polynesian and are trying out Trader Sams and have a reservation at Kona (haven't been since 2009)
Mine will NOT be Virgin this time around!

We also have a special counter service meal planned! While we HAVE tried Be Our Guest before, we have never had breakfast! I'm excited to try this out.

Hollywood Studios
I think this might be the meal I'm looking forward to the most. On October 3rd we will be attending Dapper Day, held this year at the studios and we are having lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe. Not only has this been on my list FOREVER, but the fact that we get to dress up when we go here makes it even more exciting.

That's it! We'll be exploring lots of counter service and snack options (can you say cupcake). I can't
wait to report back!
