Be Our Guest...Our Disney Side Home Party 2015

Yesterday we had our 2nd annual Disney Side Party. Before I share with you the details of the party, many of you may be wondering what exactly a Disney Side party is (many of our guests did too!)

A while back, those in social media got to apply to host one of these epic parties.  We had to share how many Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest followers we had plus share our blogs, how many people read a month and more.  Those lucky enough were selected and then Disney sent out our Disney Side boxes...these are boxes FULL of goodies to use at the party, share and for our family to just try in general. This year we were also assigned themes...our family got Preschool Princess!

Whoa right? That is a lot of stuff! Some of it we used for the party, some of it we gave away and some of it we might use a little later this year. So enough about this, let's get to our party so I can show you OUR Disney Side!

Once we knew we would be having a Princess party, it was pretty easy to narrow down our theme. And thanks to the help of a few friends in our Living With The Magic Vacations Facebook Group, we had a great idea and started to roll with it!

BE OUR GUEST!
We tend to take things a bit far so I wanted to simplify this year's party if I could. We decided on 2 games (one of which fell through) and a great menu. We just wanted to have a fun day where we share with our friends WHY we love Disney so much.

First up...the menu. I think with Beauty and the Beast the idea just lended it so well to a menu!

Ma chere Mademoiselle, it is with deepest pride
and greatest pleasure that we welcome you tonight.
And now we invite you to relax, let us pull up a
chair as the dining room proudly presents -
your dinner!

The Menu!
(links to the recipes we used below..just click)
Soup du jour (French Onion)
Hot hors d'oeuvres
Grey stuff
Beef ragout
Cheese souffle
Pie and pudding "en flambe"

I didn't take pictures of the food apparently but here are some decorations and signs!

A few of the awesome goodies we got were centered around the Princesses and Princess Sophia. We set up a nail polish station in my daughters room where all the little girls got to pick their nail color. They also each took home a lip gloss!

One thing I was most looking forward to was our Beast or Gaston game...it didn't come to fruition like I had planned HOWEVER it was a ton of fun and everyone got into it!

Overall we had a great time. The food was good and the kids had a blast.  Thanks for sharing along with us!

Stay tuned for a special blog post on these yummy treats!
